Behavior and Expectations

In order to maximize our learning in the classroom, all students are expected to follow classroom procedures and rules. Please click on the link below to read more about second grade procedures and our behavior expectations in the classroom.

Dilworth uses a school wide behavior chart. Every student begins the day on green. Based on each student's choices, he or she remains on green (ON FIRE choices) or gets a card pulled (choices that need improvement) to reveal yellow, then red (student continually made choices that needed improvement). The wonderful thing about our behavior chart is that even if you choose to make a choice that gets your card pulled, you can turn your behavior around for the rest of the day and have the opportunity to earn your green (or yellow) card back!

Dilworth second graders are expected to make “ON FIRE” choices in the classroom, hallway, bathroom, cafeteria, at recess and on the bus. Remember, ON FIRE, stands for Being Fair, Showing Integrity, Being Respectful, and Being Exceptional.
